Focussed on Sustainability

Residential housing accounts for around 25% of our greenhouse gas emissions. Designing, building and retrofitting houses to be more energy efficient will reduce both emissions and the cost to run them - whether it's from fossil fuel or renewables.

Climate Conscious

Australian homes need to be able to perform in the changing climate, now and well into the future. The introduction of higher building standards in 2022/23 will help homes adapt.  I can also assess designs using future climate scenarios, to aim for greater resilience.

Homes for People

Energy assessing is about heating and cooling loads,  megajoules and R values, star ratings and software programs but people design, build and live in homes.  A collaborative approach ensures clients' needs, preferences and experiences are brought to each project - every assessment is unique.

Nationally Accredited

  • Certificate IV in Home Energy Efficiency and Sustainability (Thermal Performance assessment) CPP41119
  • Accredited Residential Energy Scorecard (RES) Assessor - # RES3280821
  • Accredited NATHERS Thermal Performance Assessor - #DMN/22/2121

Thermal imaging

Gaps, cracks, uninsulated areas and thermal bridges can all contribute to heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. A thermal Imaging camera (FLIR) can be used to detect issues and help  identify solutions.

more than 1.3 million victorian homes built before 1991 average below 2 stars (NatHERS) for energy efficiency. For the people in these homes, this means that winter brings not only cold indoor temperatures and high energy bills, it brings risks to health.
